Denny denison is a former US Navy SEAL who now lives in New Jersey.
He was convicted in 1999 of multiple felonies including child abuse, sexual assault and bribery.
But his yacht sale in 2017 to a Dutch businessman is the highest price paid for a private yacht since it was auctioned off in 2008 for $18m.
The yacht, called Denison Dancer, was sold in New York City to a private company in May 2017 for $12.3 million.
In September 2018, the yacht was bought by a buyer in Singapore for $7.8 million.
Denison and his wife, Doreen, are divorced.
He has lived at the home since 2002.
In 2016, the US government charged Denison with sex trafficking, bribery and racketeering for allegedly helping to facilitate the sale of two boats that were then used by suspected pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
Deninson and his lawyers have denied the charges.
He spent 17 years in prison before being pardoned in 2016.
The Dutch company selling the yacht, A.R.M.V.A., declined to comment on the sale.
Denardson was also convicted in 2000 for conspiracy to commit fraud.
The charges stem from a scheme that involved buying the yacht for $9.8m and then selling it to a Florida businessman, Eric Williams, who then used the proceeds to pay Epstein’s debts.
Williams also used the yacht to have sexual encounters with underage girls in the Dominican Republic, according to court documents.
