Private yacht charter company launches ‘Pilot Program’ to provide flight training for military personnel

Private yacht company FlightSchools is launching a pilot program in support of military personnel who have completed the requirements of the military’s ‘Flight Ready’ program.

The service, founded by former Navy pilot Tom Bickford, has developed an interactive program designed to train and support military personnel in the areas of aviation, security, security operations, military communications, logistics, and aircraft carrier operations.

“We’ve developed a program specifically for military individuals who have undergone a rigorous training course and who are qualified to fly their own aircraft, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter,” said Bickfords Vice President of Operations, Joe Stiles.

“This pilot program is designed to provide pilots with valuable skills and qualifications in the aircraft, operations, and logistics domains to meet the specific requirements of military service members in support for the United States.”

The company also has an active pilot program for the US military’s elite special operations and special operations support personnel.

“As part of our pilot program, we will train pilots and support staff for the special operations community to enhance their skills and capabilities,” said Stiles, “and we will provide a free flight course for all military personnel currently on the Special Operations Reserve and on active duty.”

The military’s pilot program was first established in 2013.

In 2019, the military expanded it to include more than 7,000 members.

It has been expanded twice more since then, and in the last year, the government has spent $6.6 million on the program.

Military pilots currently flying military aircraft are eligible for the program if they have completed two or more years of advanced flight training and the pilot has passed the military training requirement.

If they are selected for the pilot program but do not pass the requirements, they will be referred to the Defense Aviation Academy, which provides military flight training.

Military personnel who pass the two-year flight training requirement, can then complete the requirement for the next two years.

A third year is needed to pass the second and third year, and a fourth year is required for the fourth.

If selected for military flight instruction, pilots will need to complete two weeks of instruction in an approved simulator to gain their pilot certification.

“The Pilot Program is intended to serve as a model for the military to develop a pilot cadre, and to provide training for pilot cadres in order to further their career,” said Mark Furlong, a senior vice president at FlightSchool, in a statement.

“This program is intended for those who are already certified pilots who wish to learn more and will gain the skills needed to fly military aircraft, or for those currently flying their own planes who want to pursue a career in the air.”

In addition, FlightSchool’s pilot training program will offer pilots the opportunity to fly the F35A fighter aircraft, which is the most expensive fighter aircraft in the world.”

The pilot program will also help our military personnel gain valuable operational experience in the skies and the ground.”
