Leonardo DiCarlo and his Cali club Tiger Woods were among those arrested in Florida over a yacht club’s “celebrity” endorsement of Donald Trump, TMZ reported.
The Florida attorney general’s office has opened a criminal investigation into DiCaplo, who owns a luxury yacht in the state.
The probe is related to a complaint filed against Tiger Woods by Cali’s yacht club.
“We are saddened by the news of the arrest of Mr. DiCapro and his club Tiger.
We are deeply troubled by these events, and will work with authorities to ensure this does not occur in the future,” Cali president Dan O’Neill said in a statement.
Cali’s annual event is a yacht cruise that attracts the likes of Justin Timberlake and the Grammy Award-winning singer Beyonce.
In March, Tiger Woods and his then-girlfriend Amber Heard were arrested for allegedly violating state and federal laws when they were spotted leaving the yacht club after the club’s event.
The yacht club is one of the country’s most powerful and well-funded yacht clubs, and has been in business since the 1980s.
The club is currently owned by the Cali-based billionaire, who is known for his philanthropic efforts in the arts.
